The Role
The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial and accounting operations of the plant, with a strong focus on budget control, expense monitoring, inventory and fixed asset management, accounting reconciliations, and internal controls. This role provides timely and accurate financial information to support plant operations and business decision-making while ensuring compliance with established financial, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
Financial Analysis & Budget Control
- Monitor daily actual expenses versus budget and identify relevant variances.
- Support budget control and allocation activities across the plant.
- Prepare monthly accrual entries, expense provisions, and accounting reclassifications.
- Prepare monthly energy expense reports.
- Analyze plant operations to explain key expense and material consumption variances.
Accounting & Internal Controls
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain internal control documentation.
- Update and maintain internal control information in SharePoint.
- Monitor supplier invoices pending interface and payment, particularly aged items.
- Process employee expense reimbursements and miscellaneous debtor transactions.
- Support compliance with applicable accounting and internal control procedures.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Monitor daily material usage and MUV (Material Usage Variance).
- Coordinate physical inventories for raw materials, work in process, finished goods, spare parts, and fixed assets.
- Record inventory adjustments and prepare corresponding reports.
- Monitor inventory in transit and help ensure accurate production and material consumption records.
Fixed Assets & Capital Investments
- Track invoices related to capital investments in process and maintain updated reports.
- Capitalize investments according to established procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain fixed asset inventories, including additions, disposals, and transfers.
Procurement & Payment Support
- Review and authorize purchase requisitions for indirect materials and services within the scope of the role.
- Follow up on Blanket POs and purchase order routing, including orders above USD $50K.
- Coordinate energy-related invoices and hot-payment requests when required.
Cross-Functional & Plant Support
- Collaborate with area leaders, management, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets teams.
- Manage invoicing and collection related to scrap sales to external customers.
- Support plant performance processes and EAD/HPT scorecard evaluations.
- Comply with applicable IATF 16949, ISO 14001, Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements.

- Accurate inventory records across raw materials, work in process, finished goods, spare parts, and fixed assets.

- Timely follow-up of supplier invoices, purchase orders, and energy payments.
- Clear understanding of plant operations and the ability to explain key financial and material consumption variances.
- Strong compliance with internal controls and applicable quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of financial accounting, accounts payable, internal controls, fixed assets, budgeting, inventories, and manufacturing costs.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, and tax fundamentals.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with financial reporting, reconciliations, expense control, inventories, or similar finance activities.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable due to the role's involvement with production, materials, inventories, and plant expenses.
- English proficiency: approximately 90%.

- Plant-based role with frequent interaction across operational and corporate functions.
