Role Purpose
As Vice President, Decision Sciences, you will lead the design, sell-in, and delivery of analytic and AI-driven solutions tailored to client business needs. You will lead a team of marketing science and campaign measurement professionals and collaborate with cross-discipline teams to generate actionable intelligence and apply it to the design, orchestration, optimization, and evolution of marketing and customer engagement strategies. As a Decision Sciences leader, you will also partner with the broader leadership team to develop talent, strengthen capabilities, and advance the group’s growth and innovation agenda.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to client marketing success through the appropriate and effective application of a wide variety of insight and intelligence generation disciplines, techniques and toolsets.
- Build strong trusted-advisor relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Identify client business problems and opportunities, then determine the appropriate application of analytic and AI techniques to address them.
- Partner with Decision Sciences subject-matter experts to design, develop, and execute advanced analytic and AI-driven solutions.
- Guide and support teams of directors, managers, and analysts in delivering marketing science, measurement, and reporting solutions ensuring analyses are insight-rich, high quality, on time, and on budget.
- Partner with cross-discipline client teams to drive client satisfaction, business results, and account growth by leading the design, sale, and execution of analytic work that is impactful to clients’ business.
- Collaborate with Decision Sciences leaders and thought leaders to advance innovation, improve processes, and expand capabilities and expertise.
- Build and maintain high-performing, cohesive teams that consistently meet or exceed client expectations and agency benchmarks for productivity and profitability.
- Develop analytic talent, provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to directors, managers, and analysts.
- Create an environment that supports both high-quality work and professional growth.
- Own scope, estimates, delivery plans, financial management, timing, and execution across all client engagements.
- Participate actively in new business pitches and provide leadership for product development, public relations, and industry presence.
- Share solutions, techniques, and frameworks across clients; understand the group’s work across the client base; and identify opportunities to apply existing capabilities to client challenges.
- Champion Targetbase’s vision, strategy, and guiding principles, and serve as a role model for others within the Decision Sciences group, as well as the agency at-large.
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- 10+ years of applied analytics experience in marketing analysis, including segmentation, predictive analytics, digital analytics, measurement, media performance, business intelligence, and market research.
- 5+ years of experience in CRM, digital, or direct marketing preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education preferred.
Knowledge & Ability
- Strong knowledge of strategic marketing principles and practice, with a strong focus on driving business outcomes.
- Highly advanced and applied knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques and performance measurement practices.
- Firm understanding of data architecture and management concepts, principles and practices.
- Proven talent for developing strong and productive relationships with colleagues, as well as for working collaboratively with team members within and outside of the analytic discipline.
- Proven effectiveness in training and mentoring others in the application of tools, techniques and methods,
- Curiosity about key drivers of customer behavior and marketing performance.
- Passion for discovering actionable intelligence hidden within large and complex datasets.
- Desire to learn and experiment with new approaches, techniques, and processes.
- Working knowledge of dashboarding and visualization platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive, problem-solving ability.
- Collaboration and teaming skills.
Candidates must be local to the Irving, TX or Raleigh, NC area and willing to be on site in our offices at least 3 days a week.
