Job Title: SUD Licensure Manager- Atlanta

Workplace: Atlanta, Ga.

Remote

Travel: 50-75% depending on specific needs

Job Summary:

Provide oversight and leadership to the teams responsible for licensure of Drug Abuse Treatment and Education Programs (DATEP) and Narcotic Treatment Programs (NTP) throughout the state. Assist in developing, testing, and utilizing the application for licensure from a user management experience. Conduct quality reviews of the work done by the survey team. Participate in various committees relevant to licensure work. Maintain awareness of and track all related surveys and facilities under the DATEP and NTP licensure purview.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise, manage, and support a team of surveyors, assisting them in succeeding in their work and professional development.
• Be responsible for oversight and quality assurance of survey reports and related products.
• Provide appropriate feedback concerning staff performance, including areas of improvement
• Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the laws, rules, policies, regulations, manuals, and guidelines relevant to DATEPs and NTPs.
• Support facilities with accurate guidance and insight into practical application and interpretation of rules and regulations.
• Assist in the routine and ad hoc updates of rules and ensure there is no conflict between the rules, federal guidelines, DBHDD policies and other relevant guiding principals.
• Maintain and organize survey and travel schedule for surveyors, ensuring timely reviews that are scheduled based on priority and other relevant factors.
• Maintain effective tracking system to provide real time insight into status of the work of the SUD licensure teams
• Interpret data from reviews and provide information to relevant stakeholders based on trends or issues identified.
• Approve timecards and travel expense reports of the survey team.
• Recognize challenges and propose solutions to OIMC leadership to address issues before or as they arise.
• Identify and communicate facility challenges and immediate jeopardy situations to Leadership timely.
• Streamline processes and ensure work is being conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct quality oversight to ensure systems and processes are in alignment and of high quality.
• Communicate effectively with facilities and other stakeholders, including other DBHDD offices and divisions.
• Represent DBHDD professionally during all interactions.
• Engage in development, improvements, testing, and routine use of the survey application.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (psychology, social work, nursing, etc.)
• Experience working with individuals with SUD/OUD, preferably in DATEP and/or NTP/MOUD services
• Five years of direct supervision/management experience
• Experience coordinating and managing staff schedules and travel
• Excellent and effective time management skills
• Strong leadership skills and experience leading staff with a variety of backgrounds
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and navigating applications like electronic health records and Methasoft
• Ability to understand and inform the development of new technology to improve efficiency and accuracy of reviews
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to navigate a variety of stakeholders professionally
• Experience in strategic thinking and planning, leading and launching new projects, and offering suggestions and solutions towards improvement of processes and procedures
• Ability to work under the pressure of performing multiple unrelated tasks with varying deadlines while maintaining high quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of job-related experience which includes two (2) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role related to the area of assignment; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Complnc Specialist 3 (RCP062) or position equivalent.--Note: Some positions may require a certification or licensure.--Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
