Location: Fairbanks, AK 99709 Start Date: ASAP Helper Rate: $20 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable helper to support a client is experiencing dehydration and needs to be transported to the emergency room as soon as possible. The family is looking for a dependable helper who can provide transportation and short-term support following the hospital visit.

Care Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to the hospital
• Assist the client with getting to and from the ER
• Transport the client safely back home after discharge
• Stay with the client for a couple of hours after returning home
• Provide companionship and general support
• Check in on the client and help ensure she is comfortable and safe
• Provide follow-up support at home for approximately one week

Schedule

• Immediate start
• Hospital transportation is needed as soon as possible
• Follow-up visits for a couple of hours per day for approximately one week
• Exact hours to be coordinated based on the client’s discharge and needs

Ideal Candidate

• Reliable and available for immediate transportation support
• Must have a safe, reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license if providing transportation
• Patient, attentive, and compassionate
• Comfortable assisting an older adult following an ER visit
• Able to provide calm companionship and general support

This role is best suited for a reliable and attentive helper who can provide immediate transportation and short-term support during an important transition in the client’s care. The ideal helper will be patient and reassuring, help the client get safely to and from the hospital, and provide supportive check-ins at home during the following week.
