YOUR ROLE AT HOSTINGER

We're looking for a Linux System Administrator, who will help to build, monitor, maintain, automate, and support our growing global infrastructure, to enable our customers to use the services without a glitch. You will be working besides other System, Software, and Network engineers. You will dig deep, constantly learn, and gain knowledge to become the next top-level talent.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

- Watching over one of the largest hosting infrastructures out there - physical and virtual servers, data-center-level networking, and everything in between - and reacting fast when something looks off;

- Owning incidents end to end: response, resolution, clear communication, and post-mortems that actually prevent the next one;

- Building and tuning alerting with Prometheus and Alertmanager, so the signal cuts through the noise;

- Working hands-on with Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform to automate and harden the infrastructure you manage;

- Handover with our Infrastructure Monitoring team in Kaunas and Vilnius, so coverage never has gaps.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

- You have a solid Linux system administration experience with managing physical and virtual servers;

- You have an experience with incident management: response, resolution, communication, and post-mortems;

- You are comfortable troubleshooting data-center-level networking;

- You are proficient with Prometheus and Alertmanager for metrics and alerting;

- You have excellent written communication on complex technical topics;

- You actively ask questions and give and absorb feedback constructively;

- You write things down - the next person on shift depends on it.

You'll be part of our Infrastructure Monitoring team based in Indonesia, working closely with a small, tight-knit group who hand off coverage with our counterparts in Kaunas and Vilnius so nothing falls through the cracks. Day to day, you're in touch with data center technicians, systems and network engineers, and the teams that own the services you're watching - giving you a rare, wide view of how the whole infrastructure fits together.
