Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position will be to lead analytical workstreams that shape go-to-market strategy, client segmentation, campaign targeting, sales coverage, advisor opportunity identification, and field execution measurement. The individual will partner closely with Distribution leadership, consultants, marketing, product, data science, and technology teams to frame business questions, develop scalable analytics solutions, and drive adoption of insights across the organization.

The individual should:

  • Use data and analytics to influence strategic decision making, prioritize commercial opportunities, and recommend actions that improve sales effectiveness
  • Lead the development of actionable dashboards, data products, and business intelligence solutions using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, SQL, Snowflake, AWS, and Python
  • Be comfortable working with foundational data, sophisticated analysis, and emerging analytics capabilities to support distribution goals and drive better business outcomes
  • Bring an inquisitive, innovative, and builder-oriented mindset, with the ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches
  • Have experience working with financial transaction data and shaping the data infrastructure needed to support scalable, trusted analytics; asset management experience is highly valuable
  • Operate in a consulting-oriented capacity, including problem definition, stakeholder management, solution design, technical translation, delivery planning, and executive-ready communication

The Department: Distribution Intelligence

Distribution Intelligence is responsible for increasing client-focused, data-driven decision making at Invesco. The group partners primarily with the Americas Distribution and Marketing teams to help increase net sales through a deeper understanding of clients, financial advisors, direct purchasers, sales activity, and market opportunity. The team operates with a builder mindset: identifying high-value business questions, creating scalable analytics solutions, and partnering directly with the field to ensure insights translate into action. It works like a small startup within the organization, with a clear focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data, analytics, visualization, and in-field implementation. Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Lead analyses of sales, ownership, client, and market data using Business Intelligence and modern data tools to define business problems, uncover opportunities, and recommend actions
  • Own and advance key components of the sales analytics roadmap, ensuring insights are actionable, scalable, and aligned to Distribution’s growth priorities
  • Define, monitor, and measure client segmentation, campaign targeting, sales coverage, advisor prioritization, and strategy execution efforts
  • Develop, manage, and own high-impact projects from problem definition through solution design, implementation, communication, and adoption
  • Partner with Distribution, Marketing, Product, Data Science, and Technology teams to design dashboards, data products, and automated insights that help business partners act with greater speed and confidence
  • Build trusted relationships with Distribution leaders, sales consultants, product specialists, and other stakeholders to influence how data and analysis are used in decision making

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience developing actionable insights and applying data analytics in a corporate, consulting, financial services, asset management, or sales enablement setting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead analytical workstreams, manage stakeholders, and convert business questions into scalable analytics solutions
  • Experience with financial transaction data, client analytics, sales analytics, marketing analytics, or the Asset Management industry
  • Experience partnering with sales leaders, consultants, product teams, technology partners, and data teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, analytical solutions, and practical adoption plans

Skills / Competencies/attributes:

  • Commercial curiosity, with the ability to understand business strategy, frame analytical questions, and connect insights to measurable outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to define issues, identify root causes, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend clear solutions
  • Ability to balance technical depth with practical application in a sales environment
  • Capable of not only knowing the “how,” but also articulating the “so what” and “now what” for business partners
  • Comfort working in an agile, test-and-learn, and iterative environment with shifting priorities and ambiguous business questions
  • Superior relationship building, communication, executive presence, and ability to influence stakeholders across functions
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead multiple analytical initiatives from idea through execution

Formal Education:

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative, business, finance, economics, analytics, statistics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or related discipline
  • Advanced coursework, certifications, or demonstrated experience in analytics, database management, data visualization, data engineering, machine learning, or financial markets is preferred

The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $130,000 - $135,000 Base/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
