About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled lab technician for our lab in Biotech and Smart Manufacturing. The lab technician will play a key role in supporting various projects by providing technical assistance, performing experiments, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
*Hands-on testing will be conducted in electronics, PLCs, and robotics.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist students and faculty in laboratory and projects.
- Order, receive and check equipment and supplies, perform inventory control, perform minor repairs of lab equipment.
- Provide lab support for classes held at 16 Tech and Glick Technology building always ensure safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are met.
- Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of experience in Industrial manufacturing, or equivalent training preferred.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Training and/or experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
- Industrial robotics programing and network I/O management preferred but not required.
