Senior Product Manager, Atom Engine

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Atom Engine based in United States.

This senior individual contributor role will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for content within a sophisticated simulation and operational planning environment. You will translate user needs and organizational priorities into clear product direction and actionable requirements. The role combines product strategy, systems thinking, workflow optimization, and close collaboration with content specialists and technical teams. You will help define the quality, consistency, usability, and effectiveness of scenarios, units, and entities that support complex exercises. Working across Product, Engineering, Design, and domain experts, you will resolve ambiguity and drive focused execution. Your decisions will influence both the content itself and the processes and tools used to create, validate, maintain, and improve it. This is a fully remote opportunity for a product leader interested in simulation technology and the defense and military technology space.

Accountabilities:

• Own the vision and strategic roadmap for Atom Engine content, ensuring it evolves in line with user needs and broader product priorities.
• Partner with users, content specialists, and internal stakeholders to identify content gaps, gather requirements, and establish clear priorities for what should be built and why.
• Translate broad goals and user needs into actionable product requirements, priorities, and execution plans.
• Own and continuously improve the content lifecycle, including how content is requested, scoped, created, validated, maintained, and reused.
• Identify process bottlenecks and prioritize improvements to workflows, supporting tools, and production practices.
• Define clear standards and expectations for the accuracy, consistency, usability, quality, and fitness for purpose of scenarios, units, and entities.
• Resolve ambiguity, manage competing requests, and make timely scope and prioritization decisions that enable content specialists to focus on effective delivery.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, and subject-matter experts to align content requirements with product capabilities, technical dependencies, and broader user experiences.
• Use exercise feedback, user research, production data, and other insights to evaluate content effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
• Balance quality, speed, maintainability, and scalability when making product and process decisions.
• Build alignment across technical teams, domain experts, users, and senior leadership while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience owning strategy and execution for a complex product, content portfolio, production workflow, or similarly sophisticated domain.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to prioritize competing needs, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and translate broad objectives into clear, actionable requirements.
• Deep understanding of simulation technologies and workflows, with an appreciation for how content quality influences user experience and operational outcomes.
• Systems-oriented approach to product and process improvement, with the ability to understand how individual content decisions affect broader experiences and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within complex systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clarity and build alignment among technical teams, domain specialists, users, and senior leaders.
• Collaborative and pragmatic working style, with respect for specialist expertise and confidence in making decisions when information is incomplete.
• Comfortable working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and taking ownership of results.
• Understanding of, or strong interest in, the military and defense technology sector.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Competitive base salary of $160,000–$210,000 USD.
