Job Summary
Loenbro is currently looking for a Project Manager to join the team. As a Project Manager, you will lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of water, wastewater, and industrial infrastructure construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Executive, field leadership, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Initiation: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Team Management: Build and lead project teams, including superintendents, craft professionals, engineers, equipment vendors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance to ensure project objectives are met. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet project requirements. Manage procurement and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Project Execution and Monitoring: Supervise all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, and take proactive measures to address any issues or deviations. Regularly communicate project status to clients and stakeholders. Monitor project costs, forecasts, billings, and profitability to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Change Management: Handle project changes and scope adjustments efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and costs. Document and communicate changes to all relevant parties.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship and safety. Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with applicable construction standards, environmental regulations, municipal requirements, and project specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, and records. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to management and clients.
- Project Closure: Conduct project reviews to evaluate performance against project objectives and client expectations. Ensure all project deliverables are completed and necessary documentation is provided to clients.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of recent experience as a Project Manager overseeing wastewater treatment, water treatment, industrial process, municipal infrastructure, or heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment facilities, process systems, construction methods, project controls, and applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations.
- Experience managing projects under public procurement, municipal contracting, or design-build/design-bid-build delivery methods.
- Proficiency with construction and project management software including Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, change order requests, scheduling, take-off meetings, and client communication.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience managing municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) or water treatment plant (WTP) construction projects.
- Experience coordinating mechanical, civil, structural, process piping, and electrical scopes.
- Familiarity with public-sector contracting requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards. OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.

Work Environment:
- Combination of office and active construction site environments, with the majority of time spent at project sites and in outdoor conditions as required.
- Potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, or other environmental factors.
- Ability to work outside and at the job site most of the time is required.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
