About the Position

The Office Aide role is responsible for clerical support related to office operations, including scanning, copying, supplies, and other general clerical services. This position also provides mail support and delivery to neighboring buildings housing our employees and other County agencies. We will count on you to provide effective customer service to our staff who provide direct services to our clients, while executing all assigned clerical tasks to the highest quality standards.

We Require

  • Six months of clerical experience in an office environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Other Requirements

  • Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver's license upon hire

  • Prior experience with high-volume delivery and mail service in a business environment
  • Prior experience with court processes and handling of court documents
  • Prior experience with data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and organizing documents

Job Contributions

  • Copies, scans, and organizes materials and documents
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes mail
  • Handles the delivery, pick-up, and assembly of legal materials, documents, and equipment
  • Receives, logs, sorts, inventories, and stocks and supplies
  • Files legal documents with the court
  • Performs miscellaneous routine clerical tasks
  • Moves boxes and other large items; handles minor office housekeeping duties
  • Travel to and from court locations, government facilities, and other job-related locations as necessary, which may include periodic travel outside of Maricopa County, subject to County policies regarding vehicle use

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment with bright lighting and requires prolonged periods in a stationary position, constant viewing of a computer monitor or screen, frequent computer use involving repetitive hand and wrist movements, and routine exposure to outdoor heat and sunlight.
  • Close physical proximity with others, with frequently changing tasks, frequent public contact, and exposure to traumatic subject matters (crime scenes, accidents, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to the waist, waist to the shoulder, or shoulder to overhead; carry 25-50 pounds 100 feet, and push/pull 25-50 pounds a distance of 1000 feet
  • Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver's license upon hire
  • Alternative work schedule options are available after training, based on business needs
  • Constantly walking indoors and out and being exposed to inclement weather conditions, including excess heat, cold, wind, and rain
