The Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergency and non-emergency responses, preparing daily reports, responding to phone and email inquiries, and supporting general SOC operations as needed.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication and multitasking skills, and can make sound decisions with limited supervision while following established procedures.
Dispatcher position
π° Pay: $17.25/HR π Schedule: Full-Time π Weekends Required
Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and report operational matters in real time to SOC leadership and senior management.
- Provide professional customer service and respond to customer service inquiries.
- Manage emergency and non-emergency calls, emails, work orders, and other communications.
- Prioritize and process incoming information according to established procedures.
- Maintain and review security officer schedules.
- Assist with supervision, payroll, training, coaching, and development of security personnel.
- Respond appropriately to escalated security issues and emergency situations.
- Coordinate emergency incidents with the security team and external emergency personnel.
- Acknowledge alarms and dispatch personnel as needed.
- Participate in security training and scenario-based drills.
- Follow emergency and general SOC protocols.
- Prepare daily shift reports, detailed shift pass-downs, and incident reports.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual SOC statistical data.
- Perform additional SOC projects and duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Candidates with experience demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities in security, customer service, supervision, dispatch, communication centers, or security operations are strongly encouraged to apply.
Advanced computer and technology skills, particularly those related to physical security operations, are highly valued.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- At least 2 years of security officer or customer service experience.
- Heavy-volume call center and/or dispatch experience preferred.
- Must be 20 years of age or older.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Texas security license, including required state training.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must maintain a reliable telephone number for employment-related communication.
