- Security & DR: Enforce strict RBAC access, ensure industry-standard encryption, and own the comprehensive Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in database administration, database engineering, or SRE
- Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing automated database provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Deep technical expertise operating and tuning both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) database technologies at scale.
- Hands-on experience managing highly available database environments within public cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated schema migration tools (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase).
