About The Role:

Morning Consult is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A to serve as a key finance partner to our Go-to-Market organization. This role owns the accuracy, automation, and presentation of GTM-facing dashboards and reporting, and provides decision support directly to GTM leadership — translating financial data into insights that inform their day-to-day and strategic decisions.

This is a highly visible role reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A — who in turn reports to the CFO — with a clear path to owning more of the GTM finance relationship as you prove impact. This role does not carry formal people leadership responsibilities today, but is expected to take on direct management of two GTM-focused analysts over an anticipated 6-9 month ramp, as trust and stakeholder relationships are established. There is room for growth in scope as the FP&A function’s footprint expands. . Success requires someone who can move fluidly between hands-on dashboard/model work and higher-level financial storytelling and advisory support for Commercial leaders.

The FP&A Team at Morning Consult:

FP&A sits within Morning Consult's finance organization and is the analytical backbone connecting company strategy to day-to-day decision-making. The team partners closely with the CFO, Commercial, and Operations leadership to build forecasts, financial models, and reporting that guide how Morning Consult invests, plans, and grows. The team has built a strong reporting foundation over the past year and is now focused on scaling it — sharper automation, better visual presentation, and deeper business partnership.

What You'll Be Working On:

- Owning the accuracy, automation, and visual presentation of GTM-facing financial dashboards and reporting

- Providing direct decision support to GTM leadership — translating financial data and trends into clear, actionable insights that inform their planning and priorities

- Partnering with the Senior Director, FP&A to improve and maintain financial models supporting the Go-to-Market org

- Tracking and reporting on gross and net revenue retention and other core GTM/revenue metrics

- Using AI tools (including Claude) to accelerate dashboard cleanup, reporting automation, and day-to-day analytical work

- Serving as a point of contact for GTM stakeholders on financial questions, with growing autonomy and scope over time

- Collaborating cross-functionally with Revenue Operations and Commercial teams to ensure consistent metrics, definitions, and reporting logic

- Identifying opportunities to improve the speed, accuracy, and automation of existing reporting processes

- Performing such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company's discretion

About You and What You've Done:

- Experience building and maintaining three-statement financial models

- Working knowledge of gross and net revenue retention and other core SaaS/subscription revenue metrics

- Background in a go-to-market-facing finance function — experience gained in professional services (banking, consulting) or in a fast-paced, resource-lean startup environment is equally valued

- Comfort providing decision support and financial advisory directly to GTM/Commercial leadership

- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in financial modeling, reporting, or analysis workflows

- Strong attention to detail and a bias toward clean, accurate, well-presented data

- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of ambiguous or evolving scope

- Proactive with status updates. Surfaces progress and blockers without being prompted

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear narratives for a range of audiences

- Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement

The expected salary range for this position is $124,900 - $205,500, with a midpoint of $165,200. In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
