Description:
Trinity Health Oakland is Level 2 Trauma Center, with 15 operating rooms that average 35 cases/day.
Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention. We care for both inpatients and outpatients for the following types of elective/urgent/emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular; as well as off-shift Endoscopy.
Our nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists.
We have the distinction of being a Certified Joint Center of Excellence as well as a Robotic Center of Excellence.
SUMMARY: Responsible for a safe, efficient Operating Room environment for hospital employees, medical staff, and patients. Ensures compliance with administration policies and procedures as well as OR schedule planning. Executes efficient daily Operating Room schedule administration.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE / EXPERIENCE
- Requires current Michigan Nursing License
- Graduation from accredited nursing program
- BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
- BLS
- 6 months - 1 year of experience/knowledge of Operating Room practices, policies, and procedures
