Position Purpose:

As a Residential Care Advisor-Medical & Financial in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities department at Pittsburgh Mercy, you will provide person-centered residential suppPosting Job Descriptionort to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a Direct Care position, centered on providing hands-on support to residents in their daily lives. It focuses on coordinating medical care and financial support to promote health, stability, and quality of life.

What You Will Do:

• Individualized Support & Care: Provide daily living assistance, emotional and behavioral support, and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) to promote independence and well‑being.
• Medical & Financial Coordination: Coordinate medical appointments and financial resources, including SSI, DPW, Medicare, and Rent Rebates. Complete medication documentation, annual assessments, and money management assessments as required.
• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain accurate communication logs and behavior notes. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Leadership Support: Provide technical assistance to other staff and assist with orientation of new employees as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/Equivalence and 1 year of paid social services work experience
• Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle.

• Monday - Friday 8:00 am -3:30 pm
