- Hands-on experience with docs-as-code workflows and Git, including repositories, branches, commits, pull requests or merge requests, peer review, and issue tracking.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering source material and translate it into content that technical and less-technical audiences can understand and act on.
- Strong project-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently prioritize multiple documentation deliverables in a changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in technical communication, engineering, computer science, English, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
- Experience documenting radar, aerospace, defense, government, industrial, embedded, electronic, or other mission-critical systems.
