Founded in 2004, NetBrain is the leader in no-code network automation. Its ground-breaking Next-Gen platform provides IT operations teams with the ability to scale their hybrid multi-cloud connected networks by automating the processes associated with Diagnostic Troubleshooting, Outage Prevention and Protected Change Management. Today, over 2,500 of the world’s largest enterprises and managed services providers leverage NetBrain’s platform.
What We Need
NetBrain is seeking a Network Development Engineer with a focus on Automation Deployment to join our Platform team. You will design and implement Python-based automation scripts and frameworks that streamline network operations at enterprise scale. This role sits at the intersection of software development, cloud operations, and real-world network troubleshooting.
You will build automation that directly reduces high-frequency, high-cost ticket resolution for the world's largest enterprises and service providers. The challenge here is not scripting for pre-defined problems — it's designing intelligent automation that adapts to complex, real-world network environments and then validating it actually does what was intended.
What You'll Do
- Write and maintain Python automation scripts and frameworks for network operations use cases.
- Design, validate, and iterate on automation workflows — confirming scripts achieve intended results at scale.
- Apply cloud and AI tooling knowledge to enhance automation pipelines and deployment practices.
- Troubleshoot network issues and translate them into reusable automation solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to improve automation tooling coverage and efficiency.
- May need to work on customers' platform cases when needed.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of Python automation scripting with hands-on automation tools and delivered projects.
- Solid network troubleshooting skills and foundational understanding of network protocols and architectures.
- Experience designing and validating automation workflows: confirming automation behaves correctly at scale.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML tooling relevant to automation.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to validation and production-readiness.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Nice to have: Cloud certifications; experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar; CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
