Receiving & Shipping Clerk - Days

Receives items for shipment from department or incoming merchandise received from outside vendors to be delivered to departments throughout the hospital in accordance with established procedures. Delivers supplies or reports in accordance with established procedure. May check stock of items, as required, throughout the hospital. Loads or stacks skids or delivery trucks with merchandise or reports to be delivered to respective locations. Delivers shipments to appropriate department and obtains appropriate signatures as required. Delivers supplies and materials by pushing or pulling cart or hand truck to assigned areas. Unloads supplies at point of delivery. Maintains delivery log recording time for delivery and submits to appropriate department personnel as required. Utilizes computer systems to input or retrieve information when needed.

The shift is for Day 8am - 4pm (Mon - Fri) with some flexibilities.

Preferred Criteria:

• Valid Driver's License

Required Criteria:

• One year related experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic PC navigation skills
• High School Diploma or GED

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
