Description of Work
This position is designated as Exempt Policy-Making under G.S. 126-5(c)(3) and is considered an at-will appointment.
The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst II to serve on our Business Solutions Team within our Data Analytics Division. In this role, you will get the opportunity to be involved in solution engineering and technical consulting, along with data and AI solution delivery.
As part of our team, you will get to: Lead discovery activities to understand business problems, processes, systems, constraints, stakeholders, and desired outcomes Design, configure, script, integrate, test, deploy, and support reliable applications, automations, data solutions, analytics products, and AI-enabled capabilities Independently organize and prioritize multiple projects, balancing urgent operational needs with planned deliverables and long-term objectives Create and maintain technical, functional, and operational documentation, including requirements, solution designs, workflow diagrams, data definitions, test plans, runbooks, SOPs, implementation guides, knowledge articles, and training materials Investigate and resolve application, integration, automation, data, reporting, or workflow issues; identify root causes and implement corrective action

Salary Range: $81,504 - $122,256

Minimum Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
An associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development
OR
A High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
