Description of Work

The primary purpose of the Walter B. Jones (WBJ) Woodside Treatment Center Day Supervisor is to administratively and clinically supervise the Division of Nursing Services and the assigned staff under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. The Day Shift supervisor has the daily responsibility of managing, supervising, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the Nursing Division provided within WBJ. This is a position delegated with significant managerial or programmatic responsibility that is essential to the successful operation of the WBJ Woodside Treatment Center. The Day Supervisor assures the quality of care delivered throughout the hospital.

Recruitment Range: $71,698.00 - $118,304.00

Per G.S. 126-5(c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.​

*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus

To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.

An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:

• The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
• The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
• DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.

About the Facility:

The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.
