The Solutions Experience Engineer is a high impact role focused on world class demo engineering and automation, helping others see the real business outcomes Gong can drive. This role owns the design, build, and continuous improvement of persona based demo environments, sandboxes, and the automated tooling that keeps them running at scale. Externally, the role also extends outward to support our partners and Go-To-Market teams with demo assets and technical depth.

You'll sit at the center of how Gong's platform story gets told, giving you visibility into nearly every function that drives it and a direct line of sight into how Gong positions and sells its platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and document demo solutions and workflows that demonstrate clear business outcomes across buyer personas.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate new feature releases and manage end to end sandbox environments, including datasets, uptime, lifecycle, capacity, and technical issue resolution.
• Create high impact technical collateral and reusable demo assets for internal GTM teams.
• Leverage AI tools to build, prototype, and scale internal tooling and demo solutions that reduce manual work across the team.
• Build and maintain automated pipelines for provisioning, refreshing, tearing down, and monitoring the health of demo environments and datasets.
• Research emerging market trends and continuously automate improvements to demo architecture, positioning, and persona based data generation.
• Lead demo based GTM initiatives, managing timelines, milestone deliverables, and technical risk mitigations.
• Track sandbox adoption metrics and regularly communicate new demo features and usage trends to field teams.
• Report project status, usage analytics, and performance insights to Presales and Partner Leadership and the GTM Demo Committee.
• Join select strategic calls and solution reviews for key ecosystem partners where demo depth is needed.
• Conduct tailored technical demonstrations to enable and upskill internal GTM teams on new platform functionality and feature updates.
• Deliver platform demos at a select number of high value industry conferences, executive briefings, and analyst reviews (e.g., Gartner).

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in Demo Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a technical automation role.
• Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or practical experience in a comparable technical domain.
• Programming & Automation: Hands-on experience with a programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and/or a QA/test automation background, with the ability to build and maintain automated tooling, scripts, and pipelines.
• Technical & Demo Expertise: Proven ability to solve complex integration challenges and build demo datasets and scripts.
• Revenue & Persona Alignment: Solid understanding of B2B sales processes and revenue personas, ensuring demo environments connect directly to business outcomes.
• Program Management & Process Creation: Proven track record of managing cross functional projects with tight deadlines, building scalable operational processes, and enabling internal teams on those workflows.
• Communication & Executive Presence: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting technical work to senior audiences.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: Strong interpersonal skills, highly adaptable, fast learner, comfortable thriving in fast paced, changing environments.

The annual OTE for this position is $142,000 - $205,000 USD.

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
