Director, Global Event Security

NVIDIA is looking for a hardworking Director of Global Event Security to lead the global event security program, ensure the safety of employees and attendees, and deliver a world-class experience. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage the global program, driving enterprise-wide strategy, governance, and business continuity objectives, with international travel required to support high-priority events
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor an outstanding team of event security personnel, encouraging accountability, growth, and excellence
  • Build and maturate the budget and metrics framework, leading all aspects of multi-year planning, procurement, and contracts, and delivering executive-level dashboards and strategic reviews to senior leadership
  • Direct threat assessments, risk reviews, and the development of security plans and operational playbooks for events of all scale and complexity
  • Command onsite security operations and collaborate with internal security teams to ensure real-time monitoring, threat intelligence, and incident response
  • Lead event security vendor selection, evaluation, and governance, coordinating guard force management, access control, medical support, weapons detection, and road closures against defined metrics
  • Partner cross-functionally with Events, Marketing, Communications, IT, Legal, and Facilities teams to embed security as a business enabler
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with private security partners, law enforcement, government agencies, and emergency response entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, fire codes, and life-safety standards
  • Produce after-action reports, lessons learned, and strategic roadmaps, and represent NVIDIA in industry forums and peer networks to advance innovative solutions

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, business administration, security management, or a related field of study
  • 12+ overall years in security, law enforcement, military, or a multinational corporation, with demonstrated career progression into leadership
  • 5+ years leading and developing teams, including direct management of security managers or supervisors
  • 5+ years building and leading large-scale event security programs for global organizations, including events of 5,000+ attendees
  • Experience handling extensive budgets and large-scale vendor ecosystems
  • Deep knowledge of security technologies including video management and access control systems, incident management databases, and GSOC integration
  • Experience collaborating with executive protection teams on integrated, high-visibility security operations
  • Strong command of international security environments, threat landscapes, jurisdictional regulations, and fast-paced conditions
  • Outstanding communication, executive presence, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to brief senior and board-level leadership and lead effective cross-functional teams

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced training and industry-recognized certification (CPP, PSP, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered security technologies, including predictive threat detection, video analytics, and crowd behavior analysis
  • Background in federal law enforcement, intelligence community, or military special operations
  • Established relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and industry security organizations
  • Professional proficiency in a second language

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
