About the Opportunity
The Senior Risk Manager supports the Regional Head of Risk in overseeing financial and non-financial risks across the region. The role helps maintain robust risk frameworks, controls, governance, and reporting, while providing effective oversight and challenge to ensure risks are managed in line with the firm’s risk appetite, Group standards, and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the Regional Head of Risk in overseeing financial and non-financial risks across the region’s entities, preparing analyses and recommendations for review.
- Maintain and enhance regional risk frameworks, internal controls, and governance documentation, ensuring alignment with Group standards and regulatory requirements across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Identify, assess, and monitor financial and non-financial risks—including operational, technology, cybersecurity, market, credit, liquidity, and reputational risks—against the firm’s approved risk appetite, escalating material changes, emerging risks, and potential limit breaches to the Regional Head of Risk.
- Support the implementation of risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs), monitor associated findings and remediation actions, and track relevant key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Review third-party and outsourcing risk assessments, maintain the corresponding entries in the enterprise risk register, and escalate material findings.
- Maintain risk governance documentation and reporting, including policies, KRIs, risk appetite statements.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, and other relevant functions to incorporate regulatory requirements and financial crime considerations into regional risk management activities.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities and assist the Regional Head of Risk in preparing for regulatory reviews and supervisory engagements.
What We Look For In You
- 7 years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, or compliance within regulated financial services, fintech, or digital asset firms.
- Experience supporting or contributing to the build-out of a risk function, including frameworks for internal controls, risk appetite, and governance, under the direction of a Head of Risk or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of financial and non-financial risk domains, including operational, technology and cybersecurity, market, credit, and liquidity risk, and familiarity with recognised risk management methodologies.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to turn risk analysis into clear reporting and actionable recommendations for senior management.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and jurisdictions, exercise sound judgement, and escalate material matters appropriately.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, PRM, or CRMA are desirable.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple regulatory regimes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Legally eligible to work in the relevant jurisdiction.
