Directs and monitors work performed by Custodians assigned to the Environmental Services Department (EVS) in Junction City to ensure EVS is meeting cleaning standards set by multiple regulatory bodies such as; The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS), OR-OSHA, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Licensing, or Sanitation agencies. This position works toward the Mission of Oregon State Hospital.

Schedule: M-F 2:30pm – 11:00pm (Subject to change to meet the needs of the department)
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.
Two years of lead work, foreman work, or supervision
OR
Six months of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position AND completion of an accredited vocational-training or construction-training program related to the class concept
OR
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Experience in supervising, assigning, and adjusting custodial staff workloads to meet operational and emergency needs. • Experience in planning, delivering, and coordinating employee training, including new-hire orientation. • Experience in interviewing, coaching, counseling, and resolving personnel issues in accordance with HR policies and procedures. • Experience in fostering employee engagement, cooperation, and commitment to departmental and facility goals. • Experience in supporting and promoting cultural diversity initiatives within a team. • Experience in developing strategies to recruit, retain, and advance a diverse workforce reflective of the community served. • Experience in conducting facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with certification standards. • Experience in monitoring custodial operations, maintaining records, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and quality expectations.
Experience in floor care including training staff and operation of equipment.

- This announcement is for a full-time, permanent, management service Construction and Facility Maintenance Supervisor 1 position based in Junction City, Oregon.
