As a Student Ambassador you will:

• Facilitate connection with student program advisor or professor for the Educational Outreach team and Area Medical Director. This will help ensure the program and offerings are aligned with school policies.
• Plan, coordinate and help advertise four live events per year for your classmatesExamples may include lunch & learns, hands on wet labs and social events
• Encourage classmates to attend these events by delivering timely communications via email and internal posting opportunities
• Help ensure events run smoothly to include pre-planning the event, ordering supplies needed, communicating with Education Outreach coordinator if additional items needed and marketing the events
• Provide ideas and input to the Educational Outreach coordinator about the types of events that your classmates will find valuable
• Attend one monthly 30-minute check-in call with your Educational Outreach Coordinator via Zoom
• Attend one monthly personal development call with a local Area Medical Director (veterinarian) via Zoom or in person (depending on location)
• Communicate in a timely manner with your Educational Outreach Coordinators via email
• Share information about events, externships, mentorship, and job opportunities (four per year)
• Represent Vetco Total Care at your school’s career fairs and alumni events

Qualifications:

• 1st, 2nd or 3rd year Veterinary Student in good academic standing
• Interest in general practice
• Strong organization and communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• Interest in motivating other students to participate in learning and social events
• Cannot hold a conflicting student ambassador role

This position is a short-term contract designed to support five (5) onsite events and various marketing outreach initiatives. The posted range represents the good faith hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to pay at the time of hire.

This is a contract role with the possibility to renew each year.
