Speech Language Pathologist Full-Time

Job Posting: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time Location: Linwood Meadows Care Center – Visalia, CA Salary range: $60-$65/hour BOE

Linwood Meadows Care Center, a leading skilled nursing facility in Visalia, CA, is seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our compassionate and collaborative rehab team. Position Summary: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role ensures timely, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with physician orders and facility policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of physician referral
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval
• Administer treatments per the approved plan of care
• Supervise SLP Assistants and CFY clinicians in patient care activities
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and progress
• Attend and participate in Patient Care Conferences, UR meetings, and staff in-services
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries per state and payer requirements
• Provide caregiver and staff education for post-discharge maintenance programs
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and the State Practice Act

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred
• Current California SLP license in good standing
• Strong proficiency with electronic documentation (Casamba, PointClickCare preferred)
• Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills
• Ability to supervise CFY clinicians and collaborate with restorative staff

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, pushing/pulling, hearing, and speaking
• Occasional lifting of 100+ lbs. and physical mobility for hands-on care
• Work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise
