As a Warehouse & Yard Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the facility. You will help maintain efficient production flow by operating material, handling equipment, managing inventory movements, and supporting a safe and organized work environment. Your commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence will contribute directly to the success of our manufacturing processes.
As a Warehouse & Yard Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a continuous supply of raw materials to production lines.
- Moving semi-finished goods between production stages to support manufacturing operations.
- Receiving, stocking, and organizing incoming materials and inventory.
- Storing completed products and assemblies from in-house production.
- Operating a forklift throughout the shift to transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading freight while following established safety procedures.
- Removing scrap metal, waste materials, and other debris from the facility.
- Supporting inventory accuracy through proper material handling and storage practices.
- Always following workplace safety policies and operational procedures.
- Contributing to a clean, organized, and productive warehouse environment.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have at least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Have previous forklift operating experience.
- Have the ability to safely load and unload freight using a forklift.
- Have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and operational documents.
- Have basic written communication skills.
- Have the ability to apply basic mathematical concepts in daily work activities.
- Have basic PC and computer skills.
- Have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
