Recurrent Energy is one of the world's largest and most geographically diversified utility-scale solar and energy storage project development, ownership, and O&M platforms. It is a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. and partially owned by BlackRock. With a strong track record of originating, developing, financing, and building nearly 9 GWp of solar and 3 GWh of battery storage power plants across six continents, Recurrent Energy has established a leadership position in both solar and battery storage project development. With a total pipeline of 25 GWp in solar and 47 GWh in battery storage, of which 14 GW and 12 GWh respectively already have interconnections (as of January 31, 2023). - Join Recurrent Energy’s Finance team with a focus on global group accounting close, consolidation, and financial reporting
- Primarily support the North America and EMEA regions
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly global group consolidation and analytical review process
- Prepare and organize:
- Group financial statements
- Audit schedules
- Consolidation proofs
- Notes to the financial statements
- Review financial data from subsidiaries and partner with regional controllers to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Maintain the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting system and lead system enhancements
- Identify and implement improvements to:
- Accounting policies
- Financial reporting processes
- Internal control procedures
- Support compliance with SEC public company reporting requirements for the U.S.-listed parent company, including regulatory filings with the SEC
- Advise and support regional accounting teams on complex or unusual accounting transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC interpretations
- Liaise with external auditors and advisors
- Perform other related duties as required
Financial & Organizational Scope
- Responsible for key areas of global financial reporting and consolidation

- Regional Controllership teams

- FP&A
- Project Finance
- Legal
- Interact with external stakeholders, including auditors and advisors
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation accounting
- Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and project management skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting designation required:
- U.S. CPA
- Canada CPA
- ACCA membership
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- At least 3+ years of experience in consolidation or financial reporting
- Big Four audit background and/or recent experience preparing public company consolidated financial statements
