Position Summary:

In this position, the security architecture engineer will ideate and architect new enterprise security and privacy features for Samsung’s mobile products with a focus on understanding high-assurance customer security needs, translating them into technical requirements with a product concept and a business case, work with product management to align on the product, and with security engineering teams on solutions that satisfy the technical requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work directly with high-assurance enterprise customers to understand security and privacy requirements
• Translate customer security and privacy needs into technical security requirements, a product concept, and a business case for Samsung mobile products
• Communicate customer motivations and security requirements clearly to product management and technical designs to global development teams
• Design and architect enterprise security and privacy features that address customer requirements
• Work with product management and security engineering teams to refine proposals and prioritize solutions
• Provide expert security guidance to global development teams and ensure customer security requirements are met through development
• Keep up-to-date on evolving enterprise mobile security needs and emerging threats and apply insights to feature direction
• Identify partnership opportunities with companies serving similar customer verticals
• Validate and iterate on security feature prototypes with customers and partners

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience combination of education, training and experience
• 16+ years of related industry experience
• Understanding of security architecture principles including threat, trust, and security models, access control and cryptography primitives
• Understanding of Android (or alternate mobile) software stacks, access controls, and device management
• Experience in security architecture, enterprise mobility, and user privacy Enterprise mobile security architecture and feature design Direct engagement with security-critical customer verticals, including high-assurance customers, to understand security requirements and use cases Translating customer needs into security requirements and technical designs Working with product management and global engineering teams to deliver security solutions
• Communicating security requirements and design tradeoffs to customers and engineering teams

The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

$203,700—$305,500 USD
