Overview:
Sentara Medical Group is now hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist in the Southside area of Virginia!
This is a float position supporting medical offices throughout the Southside area, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake locations. Travel to other areas within Hampton Roads including Northeast North Carolina may be required based on staffing needs.
Hours
Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 8:00PM. Staff will rotate shifts, and your assigned shift will fall within these hours.
Overview
As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Healthcare, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Education
- HS Diploma (Required)
- Associate Level degree or higher in lieu of the required experience will be considered
Experience
- 3 years Customer Service experience (Required)
- 1 year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers (Required)
