Cohesity's Security portfolio turns the backup estate into an active line of cyber defense: FortKnox (immutable, air-gapped cyber vaulting), Threat Defense (AI-powered threat detection), Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), powered by Cyera, Data Classification, and Identity Resilience, built with Semperis. This is a full portfolio, not a single product, and it's the reason the role exists.

Security has moved from a feature of the backup conversation to the reason for it, as automatable, AI-driven attacks collapse dwell time and push the buyer from the backup admin to the CISO and the board. This is a founding seat on a new Security specialist team: a standing, long-term relationship that starts with one product and grows into the full portfolio over multiple years.

You own the Security number in your territory — partnered with a Specialist SA who owns the technical win, and working alongside the core Account Executive who owns the primary relationship — finding and building the security relationship inside accounts the core team already touches, and opening new ones with the CISO, VP of Security, or Head of Cyber Resilience.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

• Own the Security revenue number across data isolation, threat detection, DSPM, and identity resilience for your territory — generate it, carry it, close it.
• Build long-term, full-portfolio accounts, landing each on the right first product and expanding it across the portfolio, sequenced to your accounts' technology footprint.
• Be the security subject-matter resource in every deal you touch — credible enough to hold the room with a CISO, VP of Security, or Head of Cyber Resilience.
• Build and convert your own pipeline — outbound, marketing, SDRs, and existing account-team relationships — as a hunter, not an order-taker.
• Build executive-quality decks and risk narratives, and work the security partner ecosystem for joint pipeline and co-sell.
• Run disciplined pipeline hygiene, and bring a sharp, honest read to cadence calls and pipeline reviews.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• A minimum of 5 years selling security, including experience selling to CISO/VP of Security buyers.
• A demonstrated track record generating your own pipeline in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise accounts.
• Working fluency in the cyber-resilience landscape — ransomware recovery, immutability, identity recovery, DSPM, threat detection — enough to run a business-value conversation; this is consultative selling, not a technical practitioner seat.
• Proven ability to build executive-grade decks and business cases, and comfort operating in a co-sell / specialist model.
• Disciplined CRM and forecasting habits.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
• Professional English language proficiency for customer and internal communication.

WE ARE EXTRA EXCITED IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Existing relationships with CISOs or security buyers, or direct competitive selling experience, in the backup, cyber resilience, or data security markets — matched to your territory.
• Language capability matched to the assigned territory (e.g., Japanese, Mandarin, or Bahasa); business-level English.

HOW YOU WILL BE MEAUSURED

• Attainment of your assigned Security revenue quota, and growth of your account base across the portfolio over time.
• Pipeline generation, conversion, and win rate against territory targets.
• Services / multi-phase attach and partner co-sell results.
• Field collaboration, and CRM / forecast accuracy.

TRAVEL & LOCATION

Field-based within assigned territory; regular travel for customer meetings, and periodic travel to Santa Clara HQ and company events.
