Deliver diagnostic excellence—producing high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassion while keeping patients calm and cared for through every scan.
At SimonMed, MRI is not a modality for the passive or the impatient. Our MRI Technologists are essential to delivering the advanced outpatient imaging our patients and referring physicians depend on. From brain and spine to cardiac and MSK protocols, this role demands that precision, physics knowledge, and people skills all show up at the same time, every time.
We are looking for a tech who thrives in a fast-paced but supportive environment, takes MRI safety as seriously as image quality, and brings genuine care to every patient interaction. If you find purpose in high-caliber clinical work, value efficient workflows and advanced technology, and want to grow within a collaborative team that holds itself to a higher standard—this is where you belong.
Job Duties:
- Perform high-quality X-ray examinations based on physician orders and clinical protocols.
- Assist in positioning patients for MRI and/or CT exams following training and protocol.
- Start IVs and administer contrast material as required for imaging procedures.
- Screen patients for contraindications to imaging procedures and document findings.
- Support remote technologists through ROCC by assisting with onsite tasks and patient coordination.
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter clinical notes into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
- Monitor and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Work collaboratively with technologists, radiologists, and support staff to ensure smooth clinical operations.
- Provide compassionate, efficient, and professional care to all patients.
- Assist with workflow and operational support in the imaging center as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography – Required
- State radiologic technologist license (as applicable) – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required
- 1–2 years of experience in radiography in an outpatient, clinical, or hospital setting – Preferred
- Documented experience in venipuncture and IV contrast administration – Required
- Exposure to or training in CT or MRI is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of radiographic procedures, anatomy, positioning, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in starting IVs and handling contrast media according to protocol.
- Familiarity with imaging software systems such as PACS, RIS, and EMR platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy outpatient environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Adaptable and able to support remote and hybrid imaging operations (e.g., ROCC).
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
