About the Role
As a Technical Solutions Consultant you will join Pigment’s EMEA Technical Solutions team, with a particular focus on the DACH and Central EMEA markets. You will lead the technical conversation with prospect IT, InfoSec, and enterprise architecture stakeholders, act as Pigment’s technical representative in customer meetings, and own end to end responses for RFPs and InfoSec questionnaires. Your job is to make sure that technical validation never becomes the reason a deal slows down. As part of an EMEA team you will also support opportunities across the wider region where demand requires it.
DACH is a market where SAP solutions are the incumbent in almost every account you will walk into. The single most important thing you will do is make it easy for a German enterprise IT team to understand exactly how Pigment sits alongside and integrates with their existing SAP estate. This role is therefore well suited to someone who has spent time in enterprise IT integrating SaaS solutions into an SAP ecosystem, and who now wants to bring that experience to the other side of the table.
You will work alongside Functional Solution Consultants, Account Executives, the Security and Legal teams, and our partner ecosystem. Beyond frontline deal support, you will help build the reusable German language and SAP specific technical content that the wider EMEA GTM team relies on.
This role is based in Germany, with Frankfurt preferred.
What you'll do:
- Work with the account team on technical discovery, determining requirements alongside the AE and Functional SC.
- Independently present at customer meetings as Pigment’s technical representative, fielding platform, security, and integration questions in real-time.
- Review customer requirements and flag outliers early, raising with the account team any technical signals that suggest a poor fit or a no-go.
- Own follow up on technical requests and artifacts, escalating to senior team members where a Director or C level conversation is required.
- Act as the Global team’s reference point for how Pigment can integrate with SAP, covering S/4HANA Private Cloud and on premise deployments as well as S/4HANA Public Cloud and older solutions such as SAP ECC and BW.
- Advise prospects on integration patterns between Pigment and the SAP estate, including extraction approaches, middleware, staging layers, and scheduling.
- Position Pigment clearly against and alongside SAP’s own planning and analytics stack, including SAP Analytics Cloud, with a credible and non-defensive point of view.
- Translate between SAP centric enterprise architecture language and Pigment’s platform model, so that both IT and finance stakeholders recognise their world in the answer.
- Communicate Pigment’s integration offering with confidence, covering pre-built connectors, flat file import and export, and the REST API.
- Independently own end to end responses for small to mid complexity RFPs, including timeline management and coordinating input from Security, Legal, Product, and Customer Success. We do use AI based tools to assist our responses, but you will be expected to contribute to our library of responses as a subject matter expert.
- Flag outdated or missing content back to the library and contribute German language and SAP specific answers where gaps exist.
- Support prospects and customers through security reviews, data residency and GDPR questions, and vendor risk assessments, with the rigour German enterprise IT expects.
- Understand Pigment’s product offering and how it compares to competitors in the EPM space, with particular depth on the incumbent SAP landscape in DACH.
- Position Pigment as an industry leader, communicating technical messaging in line with agreed positioning and messaging guidelines.
- Build a working understanding of Pigment’s architecture and tiered offering, and facilitate discussions on high level platform design and system function.
- Adapt existing team content to meet specific customer requirements.
- Field customer questions on AI data usage, security, and governance using existing team materials, recognising when a question needs to be escalated to a senior peer or specialist.
- Independently articulate Pigment’s AI capabilities and the problems they solve and walk through standard AI use cases as part of a demo.
- Use AI tools in your own workflow to accelerate research, drafting, and the maintenance of technical content.
- Work with regional partners as an advisor on Pigment’s technical messaging and platform, particularly where partners bring SAP implementation heritage.
- Work with senior Technical Solutions Consultants on your own development and provide feedback on team content where you see room to improve it.
- Collaborate day to day with Sales, Product Management, Security, Customer Success, and Legal to keep technical messaging aligned with the account team’s value proposition.
Who You Are:
- Experience: 2+ years in the EPM space as a Technical Solutions Consultant, or 3+ years as a Solution Consultant for a similarly complex enterprise product. We will equally consider candidates coming from an enterprise IT or systems integration background who have experience integrating SaaS solutions into an SAP ecosystem.
- SAP Ecosystem Knowledge: Working understanding of the SAP technology stack, including S/4HANA Private Cloud and on premise, S/4HANA Public Cloud, and the data integration options across them. Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud is a distinct advantage.
- Integration Fluency: Comfortable discussing REST based APIs, connectors, and file based integration. SAP Integration suite/CPI, ETL and data pipeline experience is a plus.
- Security Credibility: Able to hold a conversation on authentication and authorisation, data residency, GDPR, business continuity, and certification frameworks.
- Languages: Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
- Location: Based in Germany, with Frankfurt preferred.
- AI Fluent: Actively uses LLMs and AI tools to accelerate your own work, and is comfortable discussing how AI is governed rather than only what it does.
- Collaborative: A strong problem solver who works well across teams, shares knowledge with peers, and is comfortable influencing without authority.
- Other: Able to travel across the EMEA region as required, with the majority of travel in DACH and Central EMEA. BS/BA degree preferred.
