POSITION SPECIFICS
The Residence Life Office is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join the team!
This is a 12-month live-on appointment.
The Live-In Assistant Director of Residence Life is a vital part of the team, helping to continue the department's vision and mission. They are responsible to the Director of Student Affairs for supervising up to 2 professional staff members and overseeing the daily activities of buildings housing up to 250 students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Directing, supervising, and administering the student personnel and residence life functions for a residential community
- Oversee and facilitate the Code of Conduct process through educating students on residence hall and university policies and serving as a hearing officer for on-campus discipline cases
- Professional staff supervision and development
- Manage crises and serve in on-call rotation
- Program development and coordination
- Policy development and implementation
- Professional and paraprofessional staff selection and training
- Budget development and oversight
- Collaborate with various offices to ensure each resident is receiving a high-quality living experience
- Represent residence life in student affairs, campus, and/or system-wide committees, as appropriate
- Serve as primary contact between campus residence life and Central residence life offices
- Should possess a thorough understanding of the role and purpose of residence hall living as it applies to student development
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Master's Degree
3+ years of relevant experience
Required Certifications:
None
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $78,444.00.
