About the Team The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.

As a Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful short-term projects and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. This internship offers the opportunity to develop practical skills, apply your knowledge to real-world challenges, and explore your career interests.

Responsibilities: This internship provides students the opportunity to join one of our Public Policy teams where you will have the opportunity to - Track relevant legislation at the Federal and State levels; - Monitor legislative hearings relevant to tech policy; - Draft memorandums and documents related to Federal and State legislation and tech-related updates; - Attends tech-related events; - Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers; - And generally working with the Public Policy team to advance the goals of the company.

Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in public policy or a related tech-policy discipline - Experience on the hill with writing experience. - Able to commit to working for 14 weeks for Spring position and work onsite 4-5 days/week. - Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
