Backend Software Engineer Intern (TikTok-Privacy and Security) - 2027 Summer

TikTok Privacy & Security Product team is responsible for building compliant and user-friendly privacy solutions for TikTok, with the goal of building trust among TikTok users, regulators, and the public. The team is working on TikTok's privacy-related products, including user/underage protection, data access controls, data retention policies, etc.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals. Responsibilities: - Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world. - Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems. - Participate in technical discussions related to team's product and engineering work.

Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2027. - Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications - High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities. - Strong learning ability, clear communication, and a strong sense of teamwork and responsibility. - Proficient in C/C++, Python, and shell programming languages, and have a deep understanding of data structure and algorithm design.
