What's SoundOn: SoundOn is a music distributor that allows musicians to distribute their music work directly to TikTok products and other DSPs. Our vision is to nurture the local independent artists by supporting them in distribution, promotion, and career development.
1. Product Operations & Platform Optimization - Own day-to-day product operations for the music distribution platform, ensuring a stable and efficient experience for artists and rights holders throughout the content distribution process. - Investigate and resolve operational issues (e.g. music distribution, metadata, content delivery, platform exceptions), identify root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive scalable solutions. - Collect frontline user feedback, identify recurring operational pain points, translate them into product requirements, and work closely with Product Managers to prioritize and deliver product improvements. - Monitor product performance and operational metrics, continuously optimize workflows, SOPs, and platform efficiency to improve the overall user experience. 2. Strategic Analysis & Process Improvement - Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed of industry trends to identify opportunities for product and operational improvements. - Analyze operational data and recurring issues to recommend scalable process enhancements and improve service quality. 3. Cross-functional Collaboration - Drive the localization and rollout of product features for the Japanese market through cross-functional collaboration. - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of platform initiatives and continuous improvement of operational processes.
Minimum Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Platform Operations, or related roles within internet platforms, digital products, content platforms, or the music industry. - Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying operational challenges and driving product or process improvements. - Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to define requirements and deliver product enhancements. - Strong data analysis skills with the ability to leverage data to optimize operational performance and improve workflows. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in digital music distribution, music operations, content platforms, creator platforms, or other B2B platform products. - Familiarity with music metadata standards (e.g. DDEX, XML) or third-party CMS tools (e.g. iTunes Connect, Spotify for Artists). - Passion for music, digital content, and creator ecosystems.
