Law Enforcement Outreach Manager (Asia Pacific) - Trust and Safety

The Law Enforcement Operations team is a global function responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with law enforcement authorities across the world. This is done through strategic engagement with law enforcement authorities both on a proactive and reactive basis. The team also undertakes awareness-raising initiatives to educate and train authorities on our processes and policies regarding data disclosure and investigative support through a strict legal and privacy-focused framework.

As a Law Enforcement Outreach Manager, you will be the liaison officer to strategic law enforcement agencies in the Asia Pacific. This position would entail frequent travel to countries in the region.

Responsibilities - You'll work closely with legal and public policy teams to develop key partnerships between TikTok and strategic law enforcement agencies with a focus on Internet safety and security. - You'll develop proactive outreach programs to law enforcement agencies in APAC, to raise awareness on TikTok processes such as submissions of emergency data disclosure requests, other requests relating to data, and TikTok’s policies for protecting user privacy and responding to legal requests. - You'll support child safety and emergency response teams, and coordinate with internal investigation teams to develop referral processes for law enforcement agencies. - You'll work closely with our internal legal team and external counsel in responding to governmental requests for data.

Minimum Qualification(s) - Experienced in working or engaging with law enforcement authorities at an international level. - 5 years of work experience in the safety/security field, and/or as an analyst or investigator with a safety, law enforcement, or security focus. - Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for social media and Internet companies. - Ability to frequently travel within the APAC region.

Preferred Qualification(s) - Strong public speaking and presentation skills. - Your ability to work in a high-tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role. - Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role. - Background in law enforcement or government investigations, particularly in cybercrime investigations, and experience in business administration or program management would be an added advantage.
