About the Team The TikTok Safety & Product team is dedicated to building a safe, trusted, and resilient live streaming ecosystem for users, creators, and partners around the world. Based in Singapore, this role sits within an international and cross-functional environment, working closely with Product, Engineering, Algorithms, Moderation, and Operations teams to strengthen platform risk detection and governance capabilities.
As a Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful short-term projects and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. This internship offers the opportunity to develop practical skills, apply your knowledge to real-world challenges, and explore your career interests. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early.
Responsibilities - Identify potential risks across live streaming business scenarios, distill risk signals and patterns, and help develop practical governance strategies that can be operationalized at scale. - Independently drive end-to-end case analysis — from reviewing individual cases and extracting risk characteristics to designing recall logic and supporting strategy launch. - Partner with Product, Algorithm, Moderation, and Operations teams to integrate strategies into automated review and human moderation workflows, improving governance efficiency and accuracy. - Analyze daily risk performance and abnormal trends to uncover emerging risk patterns, summarize key features, and iterate on strategy design. - Monitor post-launch strategy performance through core metrics such as recall, precision, hit rate, and false positives, and continuously optimize outcomes. - Contribute to strengthening the team's overall risk discovery and response capabilities through structured analysis and ongoing strategy refinement.
Minimum Qualification(s) - Currently pursuing a Undergraduate in data, analytics, computer science, or a related discipline. - Strong case judgment and analytical thinking — able to abstract issues from specific examples, extract meaningful signals, and translate them into actionable strategy solutions. - Solid data analysis and problem-solving skills; able to identify issues and diagnose root causes based on data and business patterns. - Experience driving strategy implementation from concept to launch. - Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and drive alignment with Product, Engineering, Algorithms, and Operations stakeholders.
Preferred Qualification(s) - Prior experience in strategy operations, content governance, risk governance, moderation strategy, trust & safety, or risk control. - Familiarity with recall mechanisms, rule-based strategies, and human moderation workflows. - Strong interest in risk sensing, trend detection, and content governance; prior experience in platform risk detection or governance.
