Summary of Job Duties:
Shift: Tuesday - Friday, 4:30 am - 3 pm
This position produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient's families and visitors. This position is held accountable for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high quality images while supervising others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduated from a 2-year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
- Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
- CPR certified
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
- Produces optimal x-rays for medical interpretation in the Hospital Diagnostic Radiology Department, entering information into the Radiology Information System.
- Rotates through several modalities, portables on the floors, surgery, fluoro, and the emergency department, performing X-rays and training new residents on fluoro procedures.
- QA images for quality.
- Communicates with patients, patients’ family members, co-workers, and physicians.
- Continue education and learning new procedures on a day-to-day basis.
- Performs other duties.
