Job Description
The School of Education at the University of New Orleans invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Educational Administration with a background in Higher Education Administration or K12 Educational Administration. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of K12 or post-secondary teaching, a preference for collaborative work, a strong commitment to urban institutions, and an established or emerging research agenda in an area of Educational Administration.
This position is responsible for 9 academic units per semester (3/3).
Responsibilities include teaching Masters and Doctoral-level courses in Educational Administration, service to the department/college, community, and the profession, and scholarly productivity in an area of educational administration/leadership, educational change, educational policy, or urban education. Other responsibilities include supervision of doctoral student research, student recruitment and advising, pursuit of extra-mural research funding, community outreach, and other supports to the administrative functions of the unit.

· Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Educational Administration or related field.
· Evidence of an emerging research agenda.
· Evidence/potential for excellence in teaching and mentorship
· Evidence/potential for service to the university, community, and profession
Desired Qualifications
· Evidence of teaching excellence at the K12 or Postsecondary level (both on-campus and online).
· Demonstrable expertise in teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
· Leadership experience in a K12 or Postsecondary setting
