The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Enrollment Operations and Strategy provides strategic leadership for undergraduate admissions analytics, reporting, technology, data governance, and communications operations. The position translates enrollment data into actionable insights, ensures the effective use of systems and data to support recruitment and enrollment goals, and leads continuous improvement of key operational processes. The Director leads an Enrollment Data and Operations team and collaborates with partners across the University to advance data-informed decision-making and operational effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Enrollment Systems Administration and Data Governance

• Oversees the configuration, optimization, testing, and continuous improvement of Slate forms, workflows, queries, rules, portals, and operational processes.
• Serves as the primary liaison to the central Slate support team and as functional administrator/superuser for Slate within Undergraduate Admissions.
• Partners with admissions leadership and stakeholders to assess operational needs, translate business requirements into technology solutions, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, service, and the user experience.
• Establishes and maintains high standards for data integrity, governance, and compliance across admissions systems.
• Establishes metrics to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of admissions systems and operational processes, using data to inform continuous improvement.
• Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for business processes, workflows, reporting procedures, and system functionality.
• Partners with technology staff and external vendors to implement enhancements and ensure reliable system performance.
• Supports financial aid and enrollment technology integrations as appropriate.

Enrollment Analytics, Reporting and Strategic Planning

• Serves as primary liaison from ESO to Office of Data Insights and Research.
• Leads the development and maintenance of admissions dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support strategic enrollment decision-making.
• Analyzes application, admission, enrollment, demographic, and territory performance data to identify trends and provide recommendations that strengthen recruitment outcomes.
• Collaborates with Enrollment leaders to develop enrollment forecasts, predictive models, funnel analyses, and census reporting.
• Produces comprehensive annual analyses of the incoming class profile to inform future recruitment and enrollment strategies.
• Conducts research on enrollment management topics and prepares executive-level analyses supporting strategic initiatives.
• Develops standard reporting protocols while responding to ad hoc requests from university leadership.

Leadership and Supervision

• Provides leadership and supervision to a team of three or more fulltime Enrollment Data and Operations professionals, establishing priorities and ensuring alignment with divisional and institutional enrollment objectives.
• Develops operational goals and performance expectations, monitors progress, evaluates outcomes, and provides coaching that supports employee development and operational excellence to drive continuous improvement.
• Fosters a high-performing, collaborative, service-oriented culture focused on innovation and operational excellence in support of institutional enrollment goals.
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides regular feedback, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Admissions Communications Strategy and Execution

• Serves as primary liaison to University Marketing and
• Communications to optimize Slate-based communications throughout the recruitment cycle.
• Ensures that communications leverage accurate data segmentation and personalization strategies.
• Coordinates communication workflows, testing, and compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices to facilitate largescale email and text communication campaigns.
• Monitors communication performance and recommends process improvements to increase effectiveness and deliverability.

Institutional Partnerships and External Reporting

• Coordinates institutional enrollment reporting and supports required external surveys and reporting, including IPEDS, Common Data Set, U.S. News, and other media surveys.
• Collaborates with the University's central Slate team to promote best practices in data definitions and reporting standards, governance, and ongoing system optimization.
• Builds collaborative relationships with campus partners to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and operational effectiveness.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of progressively responsible experience in enrollment management, institutional research, data analytics, CRM administration, or higher education operations required
• Master's degree in Business, Operations, Data Analytics, Computer Science, and/or Finance and/or combination preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 years of experience in supervisory capacity preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) required
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex data analysis projects and delivering actionable insights required
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment required
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail required
• Experience administering or supporting CRM systems, preferably Slate preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills preferred.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
