Accountant | Bookkeeper

WE ARE SEEKING A DETAIL-ORIENTED AND EXPERIENCED AUSTRALIAN ACCOUNTANT VA TO SUPPORT AUSTRALIAN CLIENTS WITH DAY-TO-DAY BOOKKEEPING, PAYROLL, COMPLIANCE, AND FINANCIAL REPORTING. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH AUSTRALIAN ACCOUNTING STANDARDS, GST, BAS, PAYROLL, AND CLOUD-BASED ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

- Perform bank, credit card, and GL reconciliations

- Process payroll, STP, and superannuation

- Prepare BAS, IAS, GST, and PAYG reports

- Maintain accurate financial records and month-end close

- Prepare financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

- Liaise with clients and external accountants

- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience

- Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online

- BAS, GST, STP, Payroll, Superannuation

- Bank reconciliations

- Financial reporting

- Microsoft Excel

HAS KNOWLEDGE USING THE CRMS BELOW:

- Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online

- Dext or Hubdoc

- Employment Hero or KeyPay

- Karbon, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), FYI Docs

- HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho CRM (preferred)

SOFT SKILLS

- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent communication

- Time management

Requirements

- Reliable internet connection with backup option preferred.
