About the location:
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will feature 95 keys and 25 branded residential homes, 8 distinct F&B outlets, all thoughtfully designed to reflect a contemporary interpretation of the Dominican Republic’s natural beauty. Wellness will be a defining pillar of the property, delivering a holistic experience that harmonizes with the natural environment while enhancing overall wellbeing through the restorative power of nature. The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm.
About the Role
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a People and Culture Supervisor to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to the People and Culture leadership team, this position will support the effective daily operation of the department across employee services, onboarding, HR administration, benefits, employee relations and regulatory compliance, while creating a welcoming and caring experience for employees and candidates.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and candidates, responding to questions and requests in a warm, timely, confidential and professional manner.
- Support the complete employee lifecycle, including pre-employment documentation, onboarding, employee changes, leave administration, transfers and separations.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, certifications and other People and Culture documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards and Dominican labor requirements.
- Maintain complete and confidential employee records in Workday and applicable local systems, ensuring that personnel files and employment information remain accurate and current.
- Coordinate new-hire documentation and onboarding activities, including document collection, orientation schedules, uniform requirements and departmental follow-up.
- Support benefits enrollment and administration, including medical insurance, employee meals, uniforms and other property benefits.
- Assist with employee relations matters by listening to employee concerns, documenting cases appropriately and escalating sensitive matters to People and Culture leadership.
- Coordinate with Finance and Payroll to ensure the timely and accurate processing of new hires, employee changes, leave, deductions and separations.
- Prepare and maintain People and Culture reports, including headcount, turnover, attendance, leave balances, staffing updates and other workforce information.
- Support employee communication, engagement activities, recognition programs and wellbeing initiatives.
- Assist with compliance processes involving the Ministry of Labor, Social Security Treasury and other applicable government entities.
- Support recruitment and pre-opening hiring activities as needed, including interview coordination, reference checks, offer preparation and candidate communication.
- Guide and support People and Culture Coordinators or other assigned team members in completing daily departmental priorities.
- Protect confidential employee and business information and consistently apply Four Seasons policies, standards and the Golden Rule.
What You Bring
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of progressive Human Resources or People and Culture experience, preferably within hospitality or a service-oriented organization. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Dominican labor legislation, social security requirements and local employment practices.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Fluency in Spanish and strong working proficiency in English. Experience with Workday or another HR information system is preferred.

Schedule & Hours
- This is a full-time position.
- The primary schedule will be during regular business hours; however, flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends or public holidays may be required based on recruitment activities, orientations, employee events and operational needs.
