What you'll do...

• Program Manager – Travel Safety APAC Regional Security Operations Centre (RSOC) Team Overview The Travel Safety function forms a core component of the APAC Regional Security Operations Centre (RSOC) and is responsible for supporting and protecting Walmart associates travelling throughout the Asia Pacific region. The function provides travel risk monitoring, traveller support, incident coordination, executive travel support and stakeholder communications to ensure associates receive timely information and assistance before, during and after travel. As APAC Global Security develops a more integrated and intelligence-led operating model, the Travel Safety program will increasingly serve as a key enabler of associate safety, crisis coordination and organisational resilience. Role Overview The Program Manager – Travel Safety is responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving Walmart's APAC Travel Safety program. The role will establish governance frameworks, traveller support processes, communication protocols and stakeholder engagement mechanisms that enhance associate safety and business continuity. The position will work closely with the APAC RSOC, Corporate Security, Workplace Services, HR and Global Travel Safety teams to ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to traveller protection. The role requires a strong combination of program management, stakeholder engagement, crisis coordination and communication skills, with the ability to operate across multiple business functions and geographic regions. Location Bengaluru, India Key Responsibilities Travel Safety Program Management
• Develop and maintain the APAC Travel Safety program.
• Establish governance frameworks, operating procedures and reporting mechanisms.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and program maturity development.
• Partner with Global Travel Safety teams to align regional practices with global standards. Traveller Risk Management
• Coordinate destination risk assessments, travel advisories and traveller communications.
• Monitor events that may impact travelling associates.
• Support response activities during travel disruptions, natural disasters, civil unrest and other security incidents.
• Ensure timely escalation and stakeholder communication during travel-related incidents. Crisis Coordination and Associate Support
• Support travellers during emergencies and disruptive events.
• Coordinate with Corporate Security, RSOC and Crisis Management teams when travel-related incidents occur.
• Assist in maintaining situational awareness during regional incidents affecting associates. Executive Travel Support
• Support security planning and coordination for executive travel where required.
• Assist in developing travel protocols for senior leaders and high-profile engagements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support secure travel operations. Governance and Reporting
• Develop dashboards, metrics and executive reporting.
• Analyse travel trends, incidents and program performance.
• Maintain program documentation, risk registers and operational records.
• Support audits, reviews and governance activities. Job Requirements Essential
• 8+ years of experience in Program Management, Travel Risk Management, Crisis Management, Security Operations or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation and executive engagement skills.
• Experience supporting incident management, crisis response or operational coordination activities.
• Strong analytical and reporting capability.
• Experience working in multinational organisations with geographically distributed operations. Preferred
• Travel Risk Management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Exposure to Crisis Management, Corporate Security or Executive Protection programs.
• Experience supporting executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with travel risk platforms such as Horizon, Crisis24 or equivalent systems.
• Security Operations Centre or Command Centre experience. Successful Profile The successful candidate will combine strong program management capability with excellent stakeholder engagement, governance and communication skills. The individual should be capable of building a scalable Travel Safety program, coordinating effectively during disruptions and providing leadership with meaningful visibility of travel-related risks and operational impacts.
