Independently supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of software systems to meet organizational needs. Independently troubleshoots system issues, provides end-user training, and manages project coordination to ensure efficient delivery of technology solutions. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including senior analysts and experts to ensure system functionality aligns with system goals and contributes to operational efficiency. With a focus on continuous improvement, the role also includes managing system upgrades, resolving high-priority incidents and driving process improvements to enhance overall system performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
2 Relevant certifications and/or proficiencies may be required for this position, with a target completion within 90 days following formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.
EXPERIENCE:
1. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered.

5. Knowledge in Cloud-based healthcare applications and web services, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient system architecture supported by this role.
6. Knowledge of reporting tools, delivering actionable insights and enhancing decision-making processes through comprehensive data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Additional Job Description:
WVU Medicine is seeking a Mid-Level Epic Cadence Certified Analyst to join our Information Technology Patient Access team.
This is a permanent position on our Cadence team supporting one of the region's largest health systems; the analyst will start by helping lead the build, optimization, and rollout of our Guided Scheduling initiative which is an advanced patient-access program designed to simplify and streamline scheduling for front-desk staff, call center agents, providers, and patients and will go on to support the full range of Cadence functionality long-term. The right candidate will partner closely with clinical and operational leadership to translate complex, department-specific scheduling rules into automated workflows. Required skills include: a deep understanding of patient access/scheduling workflows, a proven track record of successful Epic Cadence implementations, and experience with advanced scheduling tools including decision trees and mapping logic, visit type consolidation, workqueues, provider search terms, and template optimization.
This role requires deep technical expertise in structuring and optimizing clinical access logic specifically, hands-on experience designing and building Cadence decision trees, questionnaires, and mapping logic that guide end-users to the correct booking outcomes. A core part of this work involves analyzing, cleaning up, and standardizing fragmented legacy visit types across diverse clinical specialties, creating a simplified framework that integrates seamlessly with template structures and automated scheduling workqueues. Beyond internal scheduling, the ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience extending these standardized workflows to patient-facing platforms, specifically MyChart Open/Direct Scheduling and Ticket Scheduling.
