Tech Lead — XPENG Robotics Xplore Lab

XPENG Robotics Xplore Lab is a frontier research and technology incubation platform advancing new capabilities and opportunities for next-generation robotics. Our exploration includes areas such as physical agents, dexterous manipulation, and whole-body intelligence—without being limited to them.

We’re seeking hands-on Tech Leads to own a research direction, from technical vision and roadmap to prototypes and real-world validation.

Responsibilities：

• Lead a small, interdisciplinary team on high-impact robotics research.
• Define and execute technical roadmaps, experiments, and evaluation standards.
• Drive work across AI algorithms, simulation, robot systems, and real-world testing.
• Incubate promising technologies into future robotics capabilities.

Job Requirements:

• Deep expertise in a relevant robotics, AI, or intelligent-systems domain.
• Strong record in robotics research or engineering.
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring teams.
• Comfortable working hands-on in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $244,140-$413,160, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
