PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Microsoft 365 Integration Developer provides application integration and technical development support for enterprise application modernization efforts supporting the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). This individual is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, testing, deploying, and maintaining integrations between enterprise applications, Microsoft 365 services, and other systems and data sources.

The Microsoft 365 Integration Developer works closely with solution architects, Microsoft and Power Platform developers, business analysts, security personnel, system administrators, testing personnel, and Government stakeholders to ensure applications and services exchange information securely, reliably, and efficiently. This individual supports integration activities throughout the system development lifecycle and ensures technical solutions align with approved requirements, architecture, security standards, and operational needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and maintain integrations between enterprise applications and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, web services, connectors, and other approved integration technologies.
  • Integrate applications and workflows with Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and related services as required.
  • Translate approved business, functional, and technical requirements into secure and maintainable integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, business analysts, and Government stakeholders to define integration requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and technical approaches.
  • Develop interfaces and services that support the secure exchange of information between applications, Microsoft 365 services, and other enterprise systems.
  • Support authentication, authorization, permissions, and application access requirements associated with Microsoft 365 integrations.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Entra ID integrations, application registrations, service principals, and related identity components as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain integration logic, APIs, connectors, scripts, and supporting technical components.
  • Support integration with Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, as required.
  • Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, error handling, and exception management capabilities for integration components.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, authentication issues, data exchange problems, performance concerns, and other technical issues.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, integration reviews, solution demonstrations, and other project activities.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests and support system, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineers to ensure integrations comply with applicable security, access control, and data protection requirements.
  • Coordinate with system and environment administrators to support configuration, deployment, release management, and environment-specific integration requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including interface specifications, API documentation, integration configurations, dependencies, data mappings, and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Identify integration risks, dependencies, and issues and communicate potential impacts to project and technical leadership.
  • Support implementation, transition, knowledge transfer, production readiness, and ongoing maintenance activities.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Experience supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ), EOIR, or other Federal civilian agencies.
  • Experience developing and supporting integrations within Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, web services, and enterprise application integration.
  • Experience integrating solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, or other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, application registrations, service principals, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services supporting application and system integration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Knowledge of API design, data mapping, transformation, integration patterns, and error handling.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application and system integrations.
  • Experience using source control, application lifecycle management, build, and deployment tools.
  • Experience working within Agile software development and DevSecOps environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar development and work management tools.
  • Knowledge of secure integration practices and protection of information exchanged between systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with business, functional, technical, and Government stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain the appropriate Department of Justice (DOJ) Public Trust Investigation (PTI) as required for the position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and relevant professional experience in software development, systems integration, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

The principal place of performance will be EOIR Headquarters located in Falls Church, VA.
