Реализует образовательную программу детского сада в соответствии с ФГОС ДО. Планирует и проводит занятия, использует современные, в том числе интерактивные, формы. Организует разные виды деятельности: предметную, познавательно-исследовательскую, ролевые и режиссёрские игры, продуктивную деятельность. Создаёт условия для свободного выбора детьми деятельности, участников, материалов, поддерживает детскую инициативу и самостоятельность. Формирует у детей навыки общения, доброжелательные отношения в группе (в том числе с учётом культурных, религиозных различий и особенностей здоровья детей). Ставит воспитательные цели, проектирует ситуации, которые развивают эмоционально-ценностную сферу (формируют представления о добре и зле, культуре переживаний). Развивает познавательную активность, самостоятельность, творческие способности, формирует гражданскую позицию, культуру здорового и безопасного образа жизни. Формирует психологическую готовность к школьному обучению.

Умение выстраивать воспитательный процесс с учётом возрастных и индивидуальных особенностей детей, создавать позитивную атмосферу в группе, поддерживать детскую инициативу. Знание нормативных документов. Понимание основ законодательства о правах ребёнка, законов в сфере образования, требований ФГОС ДО. Владение современными методиками. Способность применять в работе игровые, проектные и другие педагогически обоснованные технологии. Взаимодействие с другими специалистами. Умение сотрудничать с психологом, логопедом, дефектологом, например, при работе с детьми с ограниченными возможностями здоровья.
