As a Food Runner at our esteemed establishment, your role will encompass delivering an exceptional dining experience by ensuring timely and professional service. Your duties will include greeting guests, presenting menus, offering recommendations, delivering orders promptly, and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns with finesse.
Your commitment to providing outstanding customer satisfaction will be paramount. Exceptional communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are prerequisites for success in this role. Additionally, physical stamina is essential, given the professional handling of trays, plates, and glassware.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcoming guests and presenting food menus.
- Providing detailed explanations of available food items.
- Recommending food and drink options based on guest preferences.
- Ensuring prompt and polished delivery of food orders.
- Handling trays, plates, and glasses with professionalism.
- Addressing customer questions and resolving complaints.
- Refilling customer drinks as requested.
- Inspecting food orders for accuracy and presentation.
- Clearing and cleaning tables, transporting soiled dishes to the kitchen.
- Assisting with table setups before service.
- Managing spontaneous guest requests with efficiency.
- Adhering to sanitation procedures in compliance with regulations.
- Assisting kitchen staff with closing duties.
- Promptly reporting any safety concerns or incidents to the Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Food Runner in the Hospitality industry.
- Mandatory professional certification as a Food Runner.
- Basic knowledge of banquet set-ups.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfort working in a dynamic and potentially high-stress environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
